BGC Moncton opens the Medavie Foundation Community Kitchen
On May 29, BGC Moncton officially opened the doors to its newly renovated kitchen
space, marking an exciting milestone in its mission to build a healthier, more connected
future for children, youth, and families in the region.
With support from the Medavie Foundation and other community partners, BGC
Moncton raised $400,000 to create this vibrant space designed to nourish not just
bodies, but minds, families, and an entire community.
The kitchen represents a shared belief that every child deserves access to healthy food
and the tools to thrive. “This kitchen is much more than a place to prepare food,” said
Ashton Beardsworth, Executive Director of BGC Moncton. “It’s a space where
meaningful learning happens, where young people build confidence in themselves, and
where a strong sense of community is created. Every meal represents our investment in
a child’s health, happiness, and potential.”
